Florida State women's basketball team has a 23-6 overall record (13-4 in conference). The Seminoles are coming off a sensational victory Thursday afternoon over No. 3 ranked Notre Dame by a score of 86-81. Not many individuals thought that Florida State could get the job done.

It helps that Florida State got back their guards Ta'Niya Latson and O'Mariah Gordon after they were dealing with injuries. The Seminoles needed the extra reinforcement in such an important ranked matchup.

Notre Dame was a 16.5-point home favorite versus Florida State, but it didn't matter as the Lady Noles played their style of basketball. Florida State could have easily packed it in after struggling to shoot from the field in the first quarter, but they stayed the course.

Their stock should rise after the huge victory over Notre Dame when it comes to seeding in the NCAA Tournament and their ranking in the top-25.

However, the job isn't finished as the Seminoles take on the Duke Blue Devils at home in the friendly confines of the Tucker Center. This could be a perfect letdown spot for Florida State if they aren't careful.

The Blue Devils have an overall record of 22-7 (13-4 in conference). They just come off an emotional rivalry win versus North Carolina by a score of 68-53. This could also be a letdown spot for Duke if they don't focus on the game.

These are two teams that want to continue their success. Guard Lanie Grant scored 17 points in the matchup versus Duke and then scored 19 in the previous game against Louisville. Grant will try to continue her momentum against the Seminoles today. They will have to find a way to contain her.

Be sure to go support the Seminoles today against Duke at home. The game will be televised on the ACC Network at 6 PM EST. According to multiple sportsbooks, Florida State is a 3.5-point home underdog.
