FSU will be missing young pass catcher in the contest against Wake Forest

This is a bummer for his development as a wide receiver.

FSU FOOTBALL OUTLOOK

Florida State football is trying to bounce back from its latest loss to the Stanford Cardinal by a score of 20-13. This was an inexcusable loss to a squad that should be in the bottom of the conference. However, this is a Seminoles team that needs to know how to win consistently.

Florida State has to find a way to get back in the win column this week because the last true success that they felt as a squad was the season-opening victory against Alabama.

The Seminoles will have their chance, as they welcome Wake Forest to the friendly confines of Doak Campbell Stadium this Saturday at 7:30 PM EST for Homecoming. The Demon Deacons are coming off an impressive 13-12 victory over the red-hot SMU Mustangs.

PASS CATCHER UPDATE

Florida State's offense could be in a world of trouble this weekend, as quarterback Thomas Castellanos's timetable for a return after the scary injury versus Stanford, could be in jeopardy.

After the ankle injury against Kent State in the first half, Castellanos hasn't been the same player, which has hampered the unit as a whole. This isn't to say that they still haven't been able to score, but the former UCF and Boston College signal-caller brings a whole new energy when he scrambles.

The pass-catching options have been limited this year, where it looks like Castellanos is only giving it to three wide receivers in Duce Robinson, Micahi Danzy, and somewhat Lawayne McCoy. The hope is that others evolve into something special.

The bad news is that head football coach Mike Norvell announced that true freshman wide receiver Jayvan Boggs will be out this week for their contest against Wake Forest. Boggs has five receptions for 47 yards and one touchdown this season.

The Cocoa native has been battling injuries all year. The entire wide receiver core thinks that he has a load of potential, but he needs to stay on the field being healthy.
