Florida State will travel to Virginia on Friday night for its first road contest this season against the Virginia Cavaliers. It’s also the first ACC game for both teams. The Noles enter the contest as -6.5 betting favorites, and the over/under has gone up to 59.5, according to Fanduel. Over 90 percent of the bets are on FSU thus far.

The game will air on ESPN at 7 p.m. ET. The weather will be 64 degrees, with low clouds and some humidity. The wind will be light with some gusts.

Injuries

FSU could get Randy Pittman, Squirrel White, and Kevin Wynn to enter the lineup. They are relatively healthy otherwise. UVA has an offensive lineman who’s day-to-day, but if he has to miss time, that would be a big deal for the Cavaliers.

Series History

FSU leads the all-time series 14-4, but UVA is infamous for allegedly ending FSU’s ACC winning streak in 1995. The two teams have only played four times since 2010, splitting the matchups 2-2. Virginia won the last matchup 31-24 in 2019 when Willie Taggart was the FSU head coach. UVA has never beaten FSU twice in a row.

It's somewhat of a lookahead spot with Miami on deck, but this FSU team has shown good maturity through the first few weeks.

It should be an entertaining game, and a chance for FSU to showcase themselves to a national audience the same way they did against Alabama in th
