It has been a long time coming for FSU football, but they have finally caught up with most of the top programs in the country when it comes to player facilities, home game experience, and amenities.
FSU fans had to make some major sacrifices last year when Doak Campbell Stadium started undergoing much-needed renovations. The overall size of the stadium decreased a bit, and some fans were not happy about that. Some fans lost seats they had had for a long time, and that has been a pain.
Nobody is one-hundred percent happy when major changes take place, but FSU had some folks tour the facility a couple of weeks ago, and I’ve read nothing but positive reviews from those who attended.
FSU released a hype video showing the renovations for Doak Campbell Stadium and more on Wednesday:

I understand the fans who lost their original seats, but overall, I can’t see how anyone would complain about the upgrades. The black mesh seats have cupholders and won’t burn you while watching games in the hot Florida heat. How about that huge spear that’s a perfect photo-op? What all of the additional practice space and the football-only facility that will open for the players in a few weeks?
I know boosters want to see where their money goes, and this is a prime example of it. I know the one million dollar question is, will the wi-fi work? I guess folks will find out on Saturday.
I know boosters want to see where their money goes, and this is a prime example of it. A lot of these additions had to be made because Doak Campbell Stadium was so old, and removing 10,000 seats or so isn’t as big as some make it out to be. If you're going to the game on Saturday, I hope you enjoy it and the atmosphere is electric.
