Time for some more preseason lists and come on down, Micahi Danzy, because The Athletic's Bruce Feldman says you're a certified freak.

Feldman released his College Football Freaks of 2025 list and, coming in at No. 68 was the redshirt freshman wide receiver. Dansy, a Tallahassee native, played in four games last season and caught a 38-yard pass. He also had a standout season on the track.

Feldman mentioned Danzy's track feats as well as his 'freakish' strength as reasons for being named to the list.

"This offseason, Danzy power cleaned 335, showing he has a lot of strength to go with all that speed. The strength staff says he is easily capable of going over 24 mph."

Danzy clearly has speed to burn and, at 6-foot-1, 185 pounds, he has the size and the strength to offer a little more power with that speed. He moved from running back to receiver in the offseason and his skill set places him with a group of players that includes Squirrel White, Jaylin Lucas and Lawayne McCoy.

With so many bodies that will be in that 'tweener' position between running back/slot receiver/perimeter athlete, it's going to be a tough room for Danzy to crack in 2025. There may also be some opportunities in the return game, where McCoy and BJ Gibson are expected to handle much of the action.

The good news is that both Mike Norvell and offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn have experience using a surplus of bodies that have a similar skill set. We should expect to see a lot of jet sweeps and some bubble screens and tunnel screens that can get players like Danzy the ball in space and allow them to beat the defenders to the edge.

As long as Danzy keeps putting in the work on and off the field, the coaches will reward him with touches. And there's nothing more the fans want to see than an exciting speedster like Danzy with the ball in his hands and space to make defenders look slow.
