Earlier on Tuesday morning we posted how FSU softball would have a chance to change a narrative surrounding the team when they host No. 2 Texas Tech on Wednesday night.
Well, that game has been canceled by Texas Tech and will not be rescheduled, according to a social media post by FSU:
Tomorrow's game against Texas Tech has been canceled due to travel complications with the Red Raiders :(

FSU fans were really excited about this game and the opportunity to see how they stack up
Texas Tech was supposed to play at Stetson on Tuesday in Florida before traveling to FSU on Wednesday evening for the top-10 showdown. However, Texas Tech canceled the Tuesday game against Stetson AND the Wednesday game against FSU. So, with all of the money Texas Tech throws around in NIL, they couldn’t find any flights or anything to come play the game against FSU?
I understand it’s likely not a great move to spend that much money to play one game, but they have been spending money like it’s monopoly money the last couple of years.
They played at home this past weekend and have known this schedule for months, and the cancellation has nothing to do with bad weather preventing their flights or anything? I’m not saying they are scared, it’s crazy, but FSU does have some firepower they didn’t have when they faced the Red Raiders in game seven of the season this year.
FSU has won 14 straight games and this was the perfect opportunity to see if they have made some real improvements to potentially make some noise in the post season.
The Noles will now wait and play a bad California softball team this weekend.
