Florida State's men's basketball dropped three straight games to California, Stanford, and Virginia Tech. The Seminoles were outmatched in all of the matchups. Head basketball coach Leonard Hamilton had to find a way to get back in the win column.

Trust me, it did not get any better on Saturday afternoon...

The inconsistencies have reared its ugly head as the Seminoles are sitting with a 4-6 conference record. Fortunately, they took on the Boston College Eagles on Saturday afternoon, who have a 1-8 conference record.

The Eagles have not won a game since they played horrific arch-rival Miami Hurricanes, who have not won a conference game. It could be a bit treacherous with the Seminoles playing to play on the road in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts after the last three losses.

The Seminoles could not get out of their way as they fell to Boston College by a score of 77-76. This starts to wonder what Florida State is even playing for at this point.

Florida State had a solid outing with its dynamic duo of forwards Jamir Watkins, who had 19 points and seven rebounds, and Mallique Ewin, who had 18 points and nine rebounds.

This loss has to be a knockout punch to the Seminoles. The concerning aspect is that Boston College shot 11/27 from three-point range after letting Stanford and Virginia Tech make a combined 21 three-pointers in the last two contests. Plus, Boston College guard Donald Hand Jr. had 31 points.

The Seminoles had to play the game without the services of forward Taylor Bol Bowen. To make matters worse, Florida State was up by a score of 70-62 with 58 seconds left. Nonetheless, it is on to the next one for Florida State as they come back home to take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at home on Tuesday, February 4th, at 7 PM EST on the ACC Network.

This was yet another embarrassing performance by Hamilton's squad as Boston College got a steal with four seconds left, and Boston College guard Chas Kelly III made a three-pointer to take the 77-76 left with four seconds left after forward AJ Swinton's turnover. That was the first three-pointer that Kelly III connected on in the game. That is the luck that the Seminoles are having right now.
