Florida State basketball is in must-win mode as the Seminoles lost to Clemson on the road by a score of 77-57. The Seminoles currently have an 11-5 record and are 2-3 in conference. I am not saying that Florida State should have beaten Clemson on the road, but the Seminoles were projected to be in a closer game.

Unfortunately, the Seminoles did not get the job done where Florida State shot 25% from three-point range. This isn't to say that Clemson was a bad team because the Tigers are 13-4 with a 5-1 conference record. However, Florida State needs to find a way to make the NCAA Tournament.

It is not ideal that one of the best players on the roster is forward Jamir Watkins, who finished with shooting 3 of 12 from the field and 2 of 8 from three-point range. Watkins needs to have a bounce-back performance in the next game.

Luckily for Florida State, the Seminoles will be taking on the Pittsburgh Panthers in the friendly confines of the Tucker Center. The contest will be taking place tonight at 9 PM EST on ESPNU.

The Panthers are coming off two straight losses to Duke and Louisville. Both teams are good this year, so there is no shame in losing to the two opponents, but the Seminoles have to be licking their chops to take on a Pittsburgh team that is coming off a Louisville loss where it allowed senior guard Reyne Smith to shoot 7 of 11 from three-point range.

Nonetheless, the Seminoles have to be glad to be back at home. Be sure to get your tickets and pack the Tuck tonight!
