FSU coaches had had a lot to deal with over the past week with the transfer portal opening and the shooting on campus. They've lost two receivers from the roster in recent days. Hykeem Williams entered the transfer portal, and Jalen Brown was dismissed from the team for an off-the-field incident.
FSU took two receivers from the portal in the Winter window but will likely take at least one in the Spring window. BYU All-American receiver/kick returner Keelan Marion announced FSU offered a scholarship spot early Sunday morning.
Marion is originally from Georgia and signed with UConn from high school before transferring to BYU. He has two years of eligibility remaining:

FSU joins a crowded group that has offered Marion over the past 24 hours. He has posted offers from Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Baylor, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Arizona State, Miami, and SMU. That list will likely continue to grow as the day progresses.
The question is, how hard will FSU pursue Marion? They have yet to sign anyone from the Spring portal window, and the receiver unit is an area they'll need to address.
Marion hasn't been super productive in his career. He's totaled 20+ receptions in three different seasons but never had more than 28. He has seven receiving receptions.
However, he would be a contributor on special teams as one of the top kickoff returners nationally. He had 18 returns for 472 yards (26.22 avg) and two touchdowns last season with BYU. Marion could pair with Sam Singleton at FSU who averaged 24.87 ypg and had one touchdown last year.
He lists 6'0" and 197 pounds. I don't know if he's a difference-maker at wide receiver or worth what the asking price would be. However, he could contribute in more ways than one. One thing I like about BYU is they played HARD on both sides of the ball, and the two receivers FSU lost didn't necessarily do that or were hurt all the time.
If FSU can secure a visit, we'll know they are aggressively pursuing him, and FSU being close to his home state has to help.
