FSU got some good news on the recruiting front after their recent victory

This was a good grab by Florida State on Sunday afternoon.

WINNING CURES EVERYTHING

Florida State is fresh off their 42-7 victory over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Saturday night in Doak Campbell Stadium. Are the problems solved? No. This is one game. It is a positive step in the right direction. However, the Seminoles are still just 6-15 in their last 21 games.

The fan base had thoughts on wanting to fire head football coach Mike Norvell even Saturday before kickoff. The truth of the matter is that while the fan base is important, they won't be the ones cutting the check to pay the buyout.

I am not one to hold the pitchfork to fire him in Tallahassee, and it seems like most of the players on the roster aren't either. However, the narrative around the program has to change for the better, and it starts with the last four games to close out the regular season.

RECRUITING WINS

With the job security of Coach Norvell being in a weird place, there were some individuals that didn't know how the Seminoles' 2026 recruiting class would pan out. The expectation amongst the fan base is that Florida State should be in the top-ten of the rankings every year due to the talent surrounding the Seminoles alone.

With the recent four-game losing streak, I thought that there might be some prospects that wanted to explore their options. However, Florida State has surprisingly kept all 25 prospects in the fold. They ranked as the 13th-best recruiting class in the 247Sports Composite rankings.

There became good news on Sunday afternoon, as Class of 2026 defensive end Chris Carbin from Hillgrove High School in Powder Springs, Georgia, has committed to Florida State.

This is someone that was previously committed to Georgia Tech, but backed off his pledge. The Seminoles then got involved in the recruitment, as well as Auburn. However, the Tigers just fired head football coach Hugh Freeze, and Florida State got back on track with a win so it looks like the Seminoles got the nod at the end of the day.

I like the take by Florida State here as another capable pass rusher that can get after the quarterback in the future. Defensive line coach Terrance Knighton needs to continue stacking talent in the trenches.
