Florida State football has had a disappointing season thus far, with losses to Georgia Tech, Boston College, Memphis, SMU, and Clemson. This is difficult for the fan base to fathom.

Remember that the Seminoles finished with an undefeated regular season and conference championship in 2023. The expectations were sky high for head football coach Mike Norvell and his program.

However, being 1-5 in 2024 is shocking in the fifth year of his tenure in Tallahassee. The most concerning is how the coaching staff can sell Florida State to promising recruits and transfers.

The Seminoles had a de-commitment from four-star wide receiver Daylan McCutcheon (who flipped to home-state Texas) on Thursday. The only wide receiver commit left is four-star CJ Wiley, who has been rumored to flip to Georgia.

Florida State then responded later in the night with the acquisition of four-star offensive lineman Mario Nash Jr. It was a massive pickup for the Seminoles, but work is still needed to keep him in the fold.

I want to discuss strategies as to what the Seminoles can do on the recruiting front for the rest of the season.
