Parting Thoughts

We know Gus Malzahn can coach and has been one of the most innovative offensive minds in college football. He's found offensive success at every single stop he's coached. If he's motivated to do his job and help Mike Norvell avoid getting fired in the next two years, great.

However, if he's at FSU for the wrong reasons, it won't work.

I believe Mike Norvell wants to fix the mess he created at FSU. The way he's talking about getting things fixed quickly and hiring a big-name guy like Malzahn is a start.

Ultimately, it'll be who they fill the remaining staff with that will determine how successful it all will be. If they make a strong offensive line and wide receiver coach hire? I think the offense will make massive strides in 2025(it has nowhere to go but up).

FSU still has to hire a defensive coordinator, and that'll determine many things as well. Overall, the pros far outweigh the cons with Malzahn. However, if the cons come into play, Mike Norvell likely isn't at FSU long-term.
