FSU football head coach Mike Norvell is in the process of making some of the most important hires in his young career in the offseason.

The decision to fire both coordinators(right decisions) during the season means he'll likely stake his head coaching job at FSU on these two hires and the subsequent hires that come with them. In other words, I expect more staff change once these hires take place.

We'll start with the offensive coordinator who'll replace Alex Atkins because that's where the biggest issues lie with the 2024 team. The inability to block along the offensive line handicapped the offense.

It was like they were trying to kickbox standing on one leg and with only one arm against a guy with all four limbs available.

I'd expect Mike Norvell to hire someone he has ties with because I couldn't see staking my future on someone I didn't know well or have a relationship with. A few names who fit that category have been thrown around.

We took a look at one of them last week, with UNLV's Brennan Marion. He has some positives and question marks. However, whoever the hire is, they must have these four traits to help Mike Norvell turn this program around quickly.
