FSU football fans haven't heard too much from transfer quarterback Tommy Castellanos since arriving in Tallahassee. He's done a couple of interviews, but nothing too in-depth, at least not before spring camp started a few weeks ago.

That changed on Wednesday when he spoke in-depth with the ACC Network's Kelly Gramlich and Eric Mac Lain:

Castellanos spoke on a variety of topics, from the transfer portal recruiting process to what it means to be a Florida State Seminole since that was his dream school coming out of high school. He spoke about what it means to be a leader, which is a trait of his I highlighted a few days ago that could be a difference-maker for the Noles in 2025.

The biggest thing that stuck out was this statement about the 2025 FSU team:

Expectations for 2025

"I've been in this predicament before where I want to say this or say that. But right now the only thing I can tell you is just watch. Just watch. Me personally, I think it's going to be special. Just with what they've done with this team and surrounding me with the amount of guys and talent and weapons that I have. Up front and defensively...I'm telling you it's by far the best team I've been on. I've went to war and toe to toe with so many teams. So many times I felt, I wouldn't say by myself, but like it was difficult. But now I feel like I have guys around me that's willing to step up and do the same thing that I'm willing to do. I think it'll be special and all I can say is just watch."

Some of the guys he mentioned as standouts for the spring were Duce Robinson, Squirrel White, Jayvon Boggs, Hykeem (Williams), and the tight end room.

That's a promising group that could help the offense be drastically improved in 2025. However, it all starts with the offensive line, and they have had some guys limited this spring who will be counted on as starters this season.

Boston College didn't have a great record over the past two seasons, but they made a bowl each year. This FSU team does have more overall talent compared to those two Boston College teams, by far. Here's to hoping they can keep the injuries to a minimal and maximize their opportunities. It's a solid interview if you didn't watch the whole thing, I'd encourage you to.
