FSU football lost its fourth consecutive game in week nine as the Miami Hurricanes defeated the Noles for the first time in three years. FSU will look to end its losing streak when the North Carolina Tarheels travel to Tallahassee fresh off of a dominant win over the Virginia Cavaliers.

This is a game I predicted, as winnable after reassessing FSU's schedule during their bye week. North Carolina will be small betting favorites at -2, with an over/under total of 50. Those odds imply a 26-24 win for the Tarheels.

However, North Carolina was the loser of four consecutive games before the win over Virginia. It's a game that's winnable because North Carolina doesn't have a good defense and they don't have a particularly mobile quarterback.

If only FSU could find an offense. However, freshman Luke Kromenhoek looked promising in his reps against the Miami Hurricanes. The offense moved the ball at least and wasn't an automatic three-and-out. The game looks like it's slowing down, he avoided turnovers, and he's gaining some confidence.

Will Mike Norvell give him the start since he performed better than Brock Glenn against Miami? I'm not sure, but both quarterbacks will play, and whoever makes plays will stay in the game. That's what happened on Saturday night when Luke Kromenhoek replaced Brock Glenn after the first two series. Kromenhoek didn't come out of the game until it was virtually garbage time.

FSU needs to find its quarterback of the future, and the next four games will go a long way in deciding that.
