Parting Thoughts

FSU fans can get impatient with recruiting, but I like how this coaching staff operates so far. They are doing a good job leveraging previous relationships to find quality players.

They seem to have plans in place for every scenario. For instance, they have brought several players to campus, but when players commit elsewhere, they have not been caught twiddling their thumbs, wondering what's next.

They clearly know what they are looking for at each position. They don't look at the ranking of the players and chase stars. While I'm on that, let me say the transfer portal player rankings are utter trash.

They are nowhere near accurate. They should be based on what the player has done most recently. Therefore, Patrick Payton and Luke Kromenhoek should be nowhere near the top of the rankings for their positions.

FSU should field a much more talented team overall in 2025, and I expect FSU to continue to add quality players over the next couple of weeks. The transfer portal will close on December 28th, but players on teams playing in the College Football Playoff will be eligible to enter, and FSU can pursue any of those players, although it could be after the December 28th date.

I know the 2024 season was one we want to forget, but I'm already getting excited about the possibilities in 2025.
