FSU FOOTBALL RECRUITING

Florida State football has had success on the football field, where they are 3-1 with a victory over Alabama in the season opener. Highly-touted prospects are taking notice of the Seminoles' effort, where they are putting the 2-10 season in the rearview mirror.

The Seminoles are rated as the fourteenth-best recruiting class in the 2026 cycle, according to 247Sports Composite. They have 24 prospects committed to the fold at this time. However, the coaching staff doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon with the new 105-man scholarship limit.

Florida State recruiting could continue to rise with the recent success. Some of the fan base complain that when the Seminoles went 13-1, they couldn't take advantage of the wins. However, this is a new coaching staff in Tallahassee that has new life and energy.

GOOD NEWS COMING SOON?

Florida State football recruiting could be hearing good news soon in terms of recruiting, because On3's Hayes Fawcett sent a Chief Osceola GIF on Twitter (X), which usually symbolizes good news.

The disappointing part is that when Hawcett did this last time, there wasn't any good news to come from this. However, it is worth noting that the GIF was posted last time because four-star linebacker target Rodney Colton Jr. verbally committed to the staff, but then something fell through, and he elected to commit to Colorado.

With that said, On3's Steve Wiltfong dropped a crystal ball prediction in favor of the Seminoles for Class of 2026 three-star tight end Corbyn Fordham (Ohio State commit) from The Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida.

It makes sense for Florida State to go after another tight end after Amaree Williams looks to be navigating to defensive end full-time, Landen Thomas hasn't done much this season, Chase Loftin suffered an injury, plus Randy Pittman Jr. and Markeston Douglas are veterans.

This would be a solid get for the Seminoles if they got Fordham in the fold.
