The third Boston College drive starts with some bad field position at the BC 14-yard line. Castellanos throws an incomplete pass on first down, and it's a layered pass he has to recognize and throw earlier for the completion in-bounds (3:42 mark). It should have been a 15-yard gain, and instead, it's second and 10.
Boston College runs Treshaun Ward for a four-yard gain to make it third and six before Castellanos hits his receiver for a big 15-yard third-down conversion. It's a nice, simple concept that I hope Gus Malzahn will use in 2025.
Castellanos gets a bad snap on the next play and picks it up to hit a streaking receiver down the sidelines for a 67-yard touchdown. It looked like the Missouri secondary quit on the play.
This play showed Castellanos's arm strength as he flicked it 30+ yards while off balance. It's an instance of a guy taking advantage of a defense that fell asleep for a split second. This play puts BC up 14-3 with 9:44 remaining in the first half.
