FSU football will host the Kent State Golden Flashes in week four after its bye week. It will be the last non-ACC game the Noles will play before they travel to Virginia next Friday night to enter conference play. It’ll be their first road test, and the start of arguably the most important stretch of their 2025 schedule.
They have some interesting opponents waiting in the wings, some I’m not worried about at all, others require more data points before forming definitive opinions.

Here are some games you’ll want to check out if you get a chance:
Virginia hosting Stanford-ACC Network at 7:30 p.m.
The Cavaliers host Stanford one week before hosting the Noles. The Cardinals are not a good team, but they managed to defeat Boston College last week for their first win. UVA is a -16.5 point betting favorite. FSU will score on UVA, but I’m curious to see how their offense looks this week.
NC State Traveling To Duke -ESPN2 at 4 p.m.
The Wolfpack is one of the few remaining undefeated ACC teams. They are +3.5 betting underdogs against a 1-2 Duke Blue Devil team that lost against Tulane last week. FSU travels to NC State later this year, and similar to UVA, it’s their offense I’m interested in, because FSU will score on them.
Syracuse Traveling To Clemson-ESPN at Noon
Syracuse has a bad defense, and if Clemson can’t score points against them, then I know it’s probably a wrap for the Tigers this year. If Clemson loses to Syracuse, we might see some quit in the mighty Dabo’s.
Florida Gators Traveling to Miami-ABC at 7:30 p.m.
Is Miami for real? I think their offense is good, probably not as good as last year. Their defense is improved, but I think it’s more of a by-product of playing two offenses in Notre Dame and USF, who are not very good. Florida has had offensive issues, too, but they have more talent on offense than either of those teams. I’m curious to see what Miami looks like if Carson Beck is under pressure. That, and stopping the run, is going to be the key to FSU beating Miami. If Florida loses, do they quit on Billy Napier?
