FSU FOOTBALL RECRUITING
Florida State football is sitting as the 13th-best recruiting class in the 2026 cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite. The Seminoles don't look to be finished yet, as they look to grab more highly-touted prospects.
The Seminoles play Miami tonight at 7:30 PM EST on ABC in a sold-out Doak Campbell Stadium. Florida State looks to wash after its loss to Virginia in double overtime by a score of 46-38.
The coaching staff is hosting several recruits on campus to hopefully generate excitement in what could be a massive rivalry win at home.
BUILD THE TRENCHES
Florida State has emphasized the transfer portal to grab immediate help on its roster. There comes a risk with picking up transfers. The fan base saw the concerns of doing that with the Seminoles' 2024 season as they limped to the finish line with a 2-10 record.
With the Seminoles having expectations this season after their opening win against Alabama, the thought process is that Florida State should have a chance at getting a top-ten recruiting class every year. However, head football coach Mike Norvell has never accomplished that during his tenure in Tallahassee.
There should be a focus on grabbing pieces for its offensive and defensive trenches via the recruiting rankings to build long-term sustainability. One recruit that will be visiting Tallahassee for Florida State's matchup is four-star defensive end Kamron Wilson.

Wilson is a Syracuse commit who is from Miami, Florida, and is listed at 6'5" and 210 pounds. He is a bit on the smaller side, but this is a frame that the coaching staff should be able to mold into something noteworthy.
The Orange have struggled this season, even though they had a victory over Clemson on the road, and Florida State has not stopped their pursuit of Wilson. The Seminoles and position coach Terrance Knighton have four defensive linemen in the recruiting class.
It would be nice to see a Florida State victory and steal a talented prospect in their backyard.
