2026 RECRUITING CLASS SHOULD GO WELL FOR FSU
Florida State football is working to secure more high-caliber prospects for its 2026 recruiting class. It ranks outside the top 15 in most of the recruiting databases.
The Seminoles only have nine commitments in the fold, but that number should change as they are expected to have many recruits on campus this summer. The coaching staff hosts recruits all throughout June as Florida State hopes to have a better season than it did in 2024.
Florida State's new coaching staff had a remarkable finish to its 2025 class as the Early Signing Period came to a close. With that said, the fan base wants the program to recruit at a top 10 level.
GREEN IS A PROSPECT TO MONITOR
The Seminoles had Class of 2026 four-star linebacker/safety Daylen Green from Gadsden County High School in Havana, Florida, for their Elite Camp this past weekend. Green now has an official visit scheduled with Florida State for June 13-15.
The local prospect is someone that the Seminoles offered back in January. The coaching staff likes his versatility and speed at the linebacker position. Green has offers from notable schools such as Colorado, Louisville, West Virginia, Duke, Ole Miss, UCF, Arkansas, and Mississippi State.
He has an official visit scheduled this weekend with the Razorbacks, but it looks as though the Seminoles have the advantage as Green calls Florida State "a top school" in his recruitment. The defender had 111 tackles and four tackles for loss during the 2024 season.
THOUGHTS
The Gadsden County High School standout is a four-star prospect on Rivals, a three-star prospect on On3, and an unranked prospect on 247Sports. I believe that Green will end up being a high three-star linebacker when it's all said and done.
I think that he has a nice frame to work with, where he is listed at 6'2" and 205 pounds. I believe that if he gains more weight and keeps his speed from sideline to sideline, then he could be a productive linebacker/hybrid safety at the collegiate level. This would be a solid recruitment victory over Arkansas to get him if Green eventually chooses Florida State.
