DT JOSHUA FARMER

Florida State's defense struggled to get off the field on third down versus North Carolina. There were times when the unit looked overmatched, at times when the Tar Heels were consistently running up the middle with running back Omarion Hampton to get first downs.

Defensive tackle Joshua Farmer was the leader on the defensive line. However, defensive tackle Darrell Jackson Jr. has been emerging over the last couple of weeks.

Farmer has accumulated 27 total tackles and 2.5 sacks in nine games this year. Hopefully, this is a moment on national television that he could show NFL teams that is ready to make a jump for the league.

The talented defensive tackle could be the difference against a Notre Dame squad that wants to run the football and establish their dominance. The Fighting Irish are 13th in the FBS in rushing offense, where they average 216.5 rushing yards per game.
