Is there even going to be an impact for the Seminoles versus Notre Dame?

Florida State football will be taking on Notre Dame in a road game at 7:30 PM EST on NBC. I never thought that I would be sitting here discussing a Seminoles team that has eight losses on the year.

However, that is the reality of the situation that head football coach Mike Norvell and this squad are facing. Florida State will have their hands full as they face the Fighting Irish, who are firmly in the mix for the College Football Playoff.

Given that Notre Dame is not in a conference (it could be in the ACC, but they are too good for that...), they will have to impress the committee to get an at-large bid. Unlike last year with Florida State getting snubbed of the opportunity being undefeated in the four-team playoff, the 12-team format seems more doable.

Notre Dame will likely want to make an impression on the Seminoles while they are down in 2024. If Florida State wants any chance to be successful against the Fighting Irish, here are three impact players that could make a difference.
