FSU football: Game time announced for the Florida State-Miami matchup

Game time has been announced for Florida State-Miami matchup.
The Seminoles had not seen a win over Florida since 2017, and the win signified a Seminole sweep of their in-state rivals, Miami and Florida.

Florida State has struggled on the football field this year where they have a 1-5 record with losses over Georgia Tech, Boston College, Memphis, SMU, and Clemson. This is certainly not what Seminole fans were expecting in the preseason.

However, this is the reality that they are faced with and have to make the most of their opportunities. Florida State has to play Duke on Friday night for their road matchup. Then they travel to Coral Gables the next week to take on the arch-rival Miami Hurricanes.

The Seminoles have got the best of the Hurricanes over the past three seasons. However, this Miami is one of the better squads that they have had in fifteen years with quarterback Cam Ward under center. They have had some scares over the past two weeks in their matchups versus Virginia Tech and California.

Florida State seemed to have acquired some type of spark with starting redshirt freshman Brock Glenn at quarterback. However, the Seminoles are far from a perfect product. With that being said, it is a rivalry games and anything can happen.

Florida State announced on Monday afternoon that the Seminoles' road matchup versus Miami on Saturday, October 26th at 7PM EST on ESPN.

Even though Florida State has struggled, the logo still carries weight. Individuals such as ESPN's Greg McElroy and Paul Finebaum want to see the Seminoles lose, but the truth of the matter is that the program still generates eyes even they are not performing up to the standard.

My hope is that Florida State can generate positive momentum versus Duke and not laying an egg. I do not want to see the Seminoles quit on the season even though the purpose for the remainder of the year is to display the youth. It is important to note that Miami would be coming off a tough road matchup versus Louisville before playing Florida State.

I hope that head football coach Mike Norvell can come up with a plan to make Miami work for everything they get and come out victorious.
