FSU football: Four-star OL Peyton Joseph sends message to potential de-commits
By Kelvin Hunt
The FSU football coaching staff is limping to the finish line with its 2025 recruiting class(high school players). They have 11 commitments and will likely lose a couple of those commitments before the Early Signing Period next month. I wrote how Mike Norvell has already pivoted to other options in the JUCO ranks and players committed elsewhere.
However, four-star offensive lineman, Peyton Joseph seems locked in with the Noles no matter what. He posted on his social media account on Thursday afternoon, implying he believes FSU will turn things around. He also targeted guys who may be thinking about leaving the class:
Joseph is the fifth-highest-rated commit in the 2025 FSU recruiting class and the second-highest of four offensive linemen committed. He chose the Noles over the Memphis Tigers on July 4th.
He's the second commit to recently post on social media about their support in sticking with their commitment. Four-star Byron Louis posted recently, but it'll be interesting to see how this class finishes ultimately.
There are bound to be coaching changes, and that could impact things. I know most fans(including myself) want to see Mike Norvell depart from Alex Atkins, who coaches the offensive line and is the offensive coordinator. If that happens, would Joseph feel the same way? I'm not sure, but it's not like Atkins has a track record of developing high school players who can contribute on the field in his time in Tallahassee.
Nevertheless, it's good to see a young man show belief in something when the product on the field has been atrocious.
