Aggressive Defense
The FSU defense was expected to take a step back after losing so much talent to the 2024 NFL Draft.
However, the defense wasn't the issue early in the season, and the lack of offense cost the Noles several wins last season.
It wasn't until after the midway point of the season that we saw the FSU defense fall off a cliff.
The defense finished No. 79 via FEI advanced metrics. Many players who were expected to be impact players and failed are no longer on the roster.
FSU fired Adam Fuller and hired Tony White, who has produced back-to-back top 20 defenses at Nebraska the past two years. He had respectable defenses at Syracuse, considering the type of talent Syracuse can attract.
White took a Nebraska offense that ranked No. 91 before he got there and improved them to No. 19 in year one. FSU has more overall talent than what he inherited at Nebraska, plus White has added two players from that Nebraska defense via the transfer portal.
Darrell Jackson's return for 2025 is huge, and I think we'll see a much better offense for the Noles in the coming year.
