Afraid of Competition?

This might be informed speculation from The Osceola, but it's worth noting. How can you have the dad go on record to address the money portion, but not get a statement on the reasoning behind entering the portal?

If this speculation is true, what sense would it make to transfer? Luke Kromenhoek isn't ready to be a starting quarterback yet for a major college program.

I think he could be a star if he were to wait one more year to develop. However, whatever school takes him will likely make him compete with someone already on the roster.

Are the parents under the delusion that Kromenhoek should be the starter next year with only two career starts and six total games? In a year where Mike Norvell HAS to win?

That's crazy talk, not to mention Brock Glenn is the only other guy with any college experience, and even he's limited. Luke Kromenhoek was the borderline five-star guy they've already invested quite a bit of money in.

Do they not think they'd give him a shot at the job in 2026 if he did what he was supposed to do day in and day out in 2025? Also, who's to say he wouldn't get to play in some games to show his development if FSU has a comfortable lead?

I don't want to say Kromenhoek was scared to compete, because he did beat out Brock Glenn. However, it feels like they wanted Mike Norvell to hand him the keys without continuing to compete.
