FSU football will look to end its dismal 2024 season on a high note with an upset victory over the rival Florida Gators.

Florida has won its last two games as underdogs at home, and FSU hasn't looked like a competent team against Power Four competition in a couple of months. The betting line opened at -13.5 and is up to -17 on DraftKings, favoring the Gators.

Florida won the turnover battle in both games, and it was a big part of their success. LSU dominated the time of possession but had two turnovers on downs, missed a field goal, and had a turnover that resulted in a touchdown for Florida. Ole Miss turned it over three times, missed a field goal, and had two turnovers on downs.

They averaged 5.46 yards per play against Ole Miss and 7.88 yards per play against LSU. Florida scored 27 points against LSU and 24 against Ole Miss. Their recent success has been more about its defense than its offense.

Florida's defense must be excited to get FSU freshman QB Luke Kromenhoek in his second career start. Maybe it's wishful thinking because Billy Napier has gotten his guys to play hard for him as the season progressed. However, I think this game will be more competitive than most think. Here are five major keys to FSU pulling off a huge upset.
