It’s rivalry week, and the Miami vs. FSU game has more riding on it this year than it has in quite some time. The undefeated No. 3 Miami Hurricanes come to Tallahassee off a bye week. It’s their first road game this year, and they are the betting favorites, nearly all of the same scenarios that FSU had last week going into Virginia.
Miami fans are ultra-confident in their team this week, especially after seeing FSU lose on the road in double overtime against Virginia. However, bettors don’t share the same confidence. Miami got as high as -6.5 betting favorites with over 80 percent of the bets on the Canes, but that line has dropped to -4.5, with less than 70 percent of the money on Miami. The over/under is 54.5, which implies a 30-24 victory for Miami.
It’s a rivalry game, and we can throw out the records regardless. FSU has some questions, mostly on defense, after last week. However, I’d argue that Miami might have more questions.
There’s a good chance this Miami team might be fraudulent. Here are three major reasons that might be the case.
