FSU fans enjoyed a stress-free weekend with FSU having a bye week, coming off a 2-0 start to the season. It’s about time to start turning our attention to the next opponent on the schedule, Kent State.

The Golden Flashes are not a good football team, rated among the worst in college football. They were winless (0-12) in 2024 and 1-11 in 2023. They managed to win their season opener this year, but lost their last two contests.

FSU is a -45.5 point betting favorite, and it’ll be the second straight game where FSU is a massive betting favorite. FSU easily covered the spread against East Texas A&M.

These types of games don’t offer the same fanfare as Alabama or Miami. However, the attendance for the game looks to be impressive, as it was for a noon kickoff against East Texas A&M. The Kent State 3:30 p.m. kickoff should be more palatable for FSU fans.

If you’re not too interested in this week’s game, here are three reasons you should get excited.
