DT DARRELL JACKSON JR.

Florida State defensive tackle Darrell Jackson Jr. suffered adversity when the NCAA denied his waiver to be immediately eligible to play for the Seminoles last season when he transferred to the Seminoles to be with his ailing mother.

Jackson Jr. was at previous stops such as Maryland and, most recently, Miami. The defensive tackle had been pretty much a no-show this season other than last week versus Duke at times. I thought that the pairing of him and his former high school teammate (Joshua Farmer) would have been dynamic, but I was wrong.

However, the veteran did showcase his talent against his former team, where he had two sacks and even had some moments where he was jawing with quarterback Cam Ward after the plays.

Miami had success running the football up the middle, where running back Damien Martinez had 15 carries for 148 rushing yards. However, Jackson Jr. made some notable plays that I hope he can build upon to end the year.
