Mike Norvell and the FSU football program entered the offseason with several questions after finishing with the worst regular season record (2-10) in most of our lifetimes.
Would Mike Norvell tell certain players to enter the transfer portal or declare for the NFL Draft? Would Mike Norvell make quality hires to replace the coaches fired toward the end of the season?
Would FSU have the same attraction to quality players in the transfer portal after a terrible season on the field?
The answer to all three questions was a resounding yes. FSU's strong finish during the Early Signing Period was foreshadowing as the coaching staff took that momentum into the 2024 Winter Transfer Portal Window.
FSU fans expected much attrition because there were way too many players on the roster who were not capable of contributing meaningful snaps. The question was, how many would leave, and how many talented young guys could FSU keep?
There were no true major surprises aside from the saga with former quarterback Luke Kromenhoek. All things considered, FSU couldn't have had a much better 2024 Winter Transfer Portal Window.
