FSU football: 3 major reasons FSU needs to pursue a quality transfer portal QB
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU MUST Win in 2025
Above all else, FSU must win games in 2025 to show an upward trajectory after a disastrous 2-10 season. It's a schedule that should produce at least eight wins, provided they fix the offensive line.
I think Luke Kromenhoek has exceptional potential, but I'm not sure I'd gamble my career on a guy with only two career starts.
If FSU can get a proven transfer portal QB(and fix the offensive line), FSU could likely push for 9-10 wins in 2025. I know that sounds crazy after going 2-10. However, as bad as the Noles were in 2024, they easily could have won several more games if they had any semblance of an offense.
If FSU wins 9+ games, it creates tremendous momentum for the program with a new staff. It's as if Mike Norvell would have the new car smell he never got in 2020 due to the pandemic ruining his first season.
It would likely help FSU sign its high-rated recruiting class, and Luke Kromenhoek would be poised to take over going into 2026 with two years of development. Kevin Sperry would have a year of development as a redshirt freshman, and Brady Smigel could have the opportunity to develop without getting thrown into the fire.
It's wins all the way around. However, fixing the offensive line is paramount.
