Hiring Staff

One of the most important things on the docket for Mike Norvell was hiring new staff after firing both coordinators in early November. That also meant there would likely be more change because the new coordinators would want to hire guys they are comfortable with.

Mike Norvell and the FSU administration worked on that process as the regular season ended and started making hires shortly after the final game against Florida.

FSU hired its offensive and defensive coordinators. They've hired the offensive and defensive line coaches. They've hired a coach for the safeties and need to hire a wide receiver coach.

It was already a difficult task, but it would have been worse had Mike Norvell had to juggle bowl practice preparation while trying to find the right fit for the program.

Norvell hiring coaches before the Early Signing Period helped FSU gain some momentum on the recruiting trail and puts them in a position to take advantage of the Winter transfer portal recruiting cycle.
