Get ready because the FSU-Miami game is headed to primetime. The Seminoles will host No. 2 Miami from Doak Campbell Stadium on October 4 in the 7:30 p.m. slot on ABC.
There has yet to be a release on the broadcast team for the game, but more times than not it's Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit on the primetime ABC game. There also hasn't been an announcement of where ESPN's College GameDay will broadcast from on October 4, but there's a good chance the crew will be in Tallahassee, especially if FSU beats Virginia on Friday and remains undefeated.

Will nighttime be the right time?
This is the fourth time FSU will play Miami at night during Mike Norvell's tenure. The Seminoles won in Miami in 2022, but lost to the Hurricanes in 2020 and 2024. This is the first time FSU will play Miami at night in Doak since Norvell arrived. He is 2-0 against the Hurricanes at home.
The Seminoles' 31-28 win over Miami in 2021 is usually the game fans point to as the turning point in Norvell's tenure. In that game, Jordan Travis connected with Andrew Parchment on a 4th and 14 that led to the comeback win.

We'll finally find out who's "back"
Both FSU and Miami are having very good seasons thus far and, as enjoyable as it is to watch the Hurricanes struggle, it means more when the Seminoles can beat a good Miami team. And frankly, college football is better when both teams are in the discussion among the top teams in the nation.
Oddly enough, this is the first time since 2013 that both teams could enter the game undefeated. The 2013 FSU-Miami game was a blowout with the Seminoles rolling the 'Canes, 41-14, en route to the program's third national championship. The last time the Seminoles hosted Miami at Doak under the lights was in 2015, a 29-24 FSU win behind a 222-yard, three touchdown effort from Dalvin Cook.
This ACC has shown to be a little deeper than expected through the first month of the season, but it's still safe to say that the winner on October 4 will be the team to beat in the conference. And who knows, there might be a rematch for the outright ACC title in December.
