FSU football fans went through a lot during the 2024 season, and they haven’t forgotten anyone who tried to trash the program while it was down, including former commits.

A former four-star safety commit in the 2024 recruiting class, Red Morgan, de-committed from FSU and signed with Alabama. That was fine; he is originally from Alabama, and lots of players choose to stay in-state there.

It wasn’t until he made the following commit after FSU lost its season opener against Georgia Tech that FSU fans immediately put him on their list:

Morgan appeared in 12 games for the Crimson Tide in 2024 and had eight tackles, but was nowhere to be found against Florida State, as he missed tackles and had Alabama fans ready to fight him. FSU fans had to remind him of what he said last year:

Let the Alabama fans tell it though!

It’s always important to stay humble in this world, and now Red Morgan is getting a nice dose of humble pie. However, I must say, he didn’t do much as a freshman last year and doesn’t look interested in playing at a high level this year.

He could find himself in the portal soon if he doesn’t improve his play, and it would be funny if no top teams showed interest and he had to go play at some smaller school.

He definitely wouldn’t be on the field at FSU with Tony White as the defensive coordinator if that was how he practiced. They say everything happens for a reason, and FSU is on top right now.

We’ll see if he can stay on their roster until next year when FSU travels to play Alabama.
