FSU football not only wiped the field with East Texas A&M, but the staff received some good news on the recruiting trail.

The Seminoles received a verbal commitment from 2027 defensive back Jemari Foreman from American Heritage School in Plantation, Florida. Foreman, a three-star prospect, becomes the fourth member of the FSU 2027 recruiting class.

Foreman went in detail on his commitment with 247Sports. He credited his relationship with safeties coach Evan Cooper as a big reason for his early pledge.

"They're fast, physical, and Coach Cooper, he's different," Foreman said. "I like his coaching style. We built that bond."

Foreman has plenty to offer

I put in a call to Larry Blustein of the South Florida High School Sports Report to get a deeper evaluation of Foreman, and he spoke about the junior's ability to play multiple positions.

"He's a really good football player. Very tough kid, athletic. He's a gamer. He's got good size, and he's going to get bigger and faster too," Blustein said. "He wasn't a major prospect in the class, but he's a very good player and I think he has about a half dozen offers already. He's continuing to grow at football, and he can play at a couple of different positions."

Foreman is projected to be a defensive back, but Blustein said he wouldn't be surprised if he switched positions within the secondary or moved to offense.

"Jemari is a really good athlete, and he does a lot for Heritage. " think what FSU is doing with some of these players is projecting different potential fits for them," Blustein continued. "It's like what they did with Edwin Joseph, With positionless football becoming more of a thing, FSU looks at Foreman as a good athlete that's going to continue to grow physically and compete against some high level competition. Whether he plays safety or corner or wide receiver or running back remains to be seen."

Foreman also had confirmed offers from Auburn, Kentucky, UCF, Louisville and Oregon State,
