FSU basketball (17-14, 8-12 ACC) completed its regular season with an upset win over the SMU Mustangs on Saturday evening.
It was the No. 200 ACC win in Leonard Hamilton's legendary career that will end once the ACC Tournament concludes unless the Noles do the improbable and win the entire thing.
They will be the No. 11 seed and play against the No. 14 seed Syracuse Orange. FSU defeated the Orange 90-74 in their lone matchup in early January.

NC State pulled off the improbable last season as the No. 10 seed and won five games in five days to make the NCAA Tournament. The Wolfpack made a run to the Final Four before their Cinderella run ended. I don't expect the Noles to replicate that, but they can make some noise if they play with the same effort they gave against SMU on Saturday night.
