FSU basketball head coach Luke Loucks has done a great job of keeping the basketball team in the mix on social media, although they don't play their first game for a few more months.

The team has been working out, but Loucks continues to leave no stone unturned to complete his inaugural roster. FSU announced its latest signing on Monday. The Noles went international, signing Maximo Garcia-Plata, a 6'2" guard who played at the Real Madrid U18 team in Spain.

He becomes the 14th member of the team. We can see some of his game in the footage below:

You can tell there's an international flair to his game. He's savvy with the ball in his hands. He doesn't look incredibly explosive off the hoof, but does a good job lulling guys to sleep to get angles to go by guys as he tries to get to the rim.

His free-throw shooting form looks solid, and that usually translates to a solid three-point shooter. He is a low 30 percent shooter from the perimeter over the past few years. However, I think he could be a solid addition in the right system.

FSU coach Luke Loucks values guys who can put the ball in the basket, and this addition probably highlights his recruiting prowess, which could be tied to his days of playing overseas after leaving FSU. He likely made connections with guys when he was an assistant coach in the NBA.

I've been impressed with the number of blue-chip guys Luke Loucks has been involved with in the recruiting cycle. Garcia-Plata doesn't have a ranking with the recruiting services (likely because he played overseas), but I'm excited about the upcoming season.

I think the team will be exciting to watch based on the type of players Loucks has accumulated.
