GUARD TONEY DOUGLAS

It would not be the right thing to do if I did not start by including legendary Florida State point guard Toney Douglas. The former Auburn transfer made his presence known in Tallahassee where he had a productive three-year career.

Douglas was a certified bucket-getter for Florida State, where he had averaged 16.7 points per game. The Seminoles were lucky to have his services. In Douglas's last season with the Seminoles, No. 5 seeded Florida State had to take on No. 12 seeded Wisconsin.

As we know about 5-12 matchups, they can be awfully difficult to navigate through. In that year, Douglas had a lasting impression on the Seminole fan base as he averaged 21.5 points per game. The Seminoles ended up losing heartbreakingly to Wisconsin.

I know that Douglas is a scorer, and he had 26 points. The interesting part is that he outscored the entire starting lineup. The point guard seems to be ahead of his time.
