FSU FOOTBALL RECRUITING
Florida State football recruiting is ranked as the 13th-best class in the 2026 cycle, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. This isn't where the fan base wants them to be, but they are making progress to get to the coveted top-ten ranking.
Head football coach Mike Norvell has never accomplished the feat during his time with the Seminoles, which is a bit surprising given his success in 2022 and 2023. However, that is the reality of the improvement that needs to be made for Florida State to sustain long-term success.
Florida State used to be known as a transfer portal destination, even though most individuals feel like there needs to be a good mix of both high school prospects and transfers. The 2026 class could be the one that breaks the vicious cycle that has haunted the program over the last couple of years.
LOCKING IT DOWN
Fans saw former Florida State head football coach Jimbo Fisher in town this past weekend against Miami. Coach Fisher was emotional as individuals cheered him on and conducted the war chant on the ACC Huddle show. What a time to be alive!
Jimbo Fisher was known for his recruiting prowess. He walked into South Florida like he owned the place after dominating the Hurricanes from 2010 to 2016. Nonetheless, that era is in the past now, but maybe Mike Norvell can learn a thing or two from the former coach.
The good news for the Seminoles is that he can be on his way to doing just that, as four-star defensive back commit Tre Bell III from Barbara Goleman High School in Hialeah, Florida, has announced that he will be locking down his recruitment with the Seminoles.

I realize that high school recruiting is all over the place at this time, but Bell III has been committed to Florida State since October 10th, 2023, and has witnessed the 2-10 season and has weathered the storm. There isn't much else the defensive back prospect can endure from the Seminoles. This shows that the defender just wants to be in the Garnet and Gold.
