TIME TO SHINE

Former Florida State and current Arizona Cardinals running back Trey Benson will have his time to shine in tonight's contest versus the Seattle Seahawks. Benson will be taking over the starting role after veteran James Conner suffered an injury.

The Cardinals will be taking on the Seahawks tonight at 8:15 PM EST on Amazon Prime Video. This will be a fascinating watch for Seminole fans who want to see Benson succeed.

Individuals in the fan base used to doubt the coaching staff's evaluation of the former Oregon transfer after he had faced adversity with serious injuries previously. However, Florida State trusted Benson's speed and athleticism to be a productive back in college.

The productive rusher had 310 carries for 1,896 yards and 23 touchdowns on the ground during his two-year career with the Seminoles. Fans will forever remember him in the Garnet and Gold for his electric play making ability.

IMPACT FOR THE CARDINALS

The Cardinals expect a similar level of impact from their squad. During Sunday's matchup against the 49ers, Benson had 10 carries for 42 yards. He did have a notable 29-yard run that was impressive.

However, the team needs more than just 42 yards rushing. The good news is that the Cardinals have a dual-threat quarterback option in Kyler Murray, who can help alleviate the pressure on Benson to be the sole source of offense.

The highest rushing total of Benson's NFL career came in the season-opening contest versus the Saints, where he had eight carries for 69 yards. The former Seminole has only recorded one career rushing touchdown in the NFL. Could this be the opportunity to get the second one?
