Florida State has struggled this season, with a 1-9 record. The fan base has been disappointed with the Seminoles' performance. Individuals thought that the Seminoles would be in contention for a conference championship and a spot in the College Football Playoff.

However, the season has been forgettable and one of the worst campaigns in the Seminoles' football history. What's even more ironic is that Florida State is coming off a 10-3 season in 2022 and 13-1 in 2023.

Fans have already had a tough year as the College Football Playoff committee as they excluded an undefeated Florida State for a one-loss Alabama. Then the Crimson Tide came calling to head football coach Mike Norvell after the legendary Nick Saban retired.

However, Florida State has extended Norvell's contract in Tallahassee for him to stay. This was thought to be a smart idea for how the Seminoles are trending as a program that isn't afraid to compete for the throne at the top of college football.

That notion could not be more wrong as Florida State's 2024 season has been a disaster. The fan base is growing tired of Norvell with the Seminoles. They are even opening up to the idea of Colorado head football coach Deion Sanders.

As most know, Sanders was a former defensive back at Florida State (even though he has not claimed the Seminoles recently). He has done a solid job with the Buffaloes, where they are in the driver's seat to win the Big 12 conference.

On ESPN's First Take, former NFL quarterback Cam Newton mentioned that Sanders should consider coaching at Florida State.

This seems to be a major talking point for individuals. The program has remained confident in Norvell. I am a firm believer in the way he runs a program. With that being said, Florida State is currently on a bye week this weekend and have to play Charleston Southern the week later.

My main hesitancy is how Sanders will perform without do-it-all athletes Shadeur Sanders and Travis Hunter. However, it seems like individuals want to see Florida State get a spark in their program.
