Former head coach Jimbo Fisher gets an ovation during ACC Huddle Show

This was a surprising development.

FSU FOOTBALL

Florida State is taking on the Miami Hurricanes tonight at 7:30 PM EST in the friendly confines of Doak Campbell Stadium. The Seminoles are trying to erase the memory of last week's contest against Virginia, where they lost by a score of 46-38 in double overtime.

This Florida State-Miami game will have high stakes as it relates to being competitive in the ACC Championship race. College GameDay doesn't think that the game was worthy of having their show in Tallahassee this weekend. However, ACC Huddle decided to step up to the plate and deliver their pre-game show.

One intriguing about the ACC Huddle is that former Florida State head football coach Jimbo Fisher is now featured on the show. His reunion in Tallahassee gives a ton of attention. Coach Fisher was able to help secure the Seminoles a national championship in 2013, but the departure to Texas A&M in 2017 created sourness amongst the fan base.

FISHER EMOTIONAL

This was a moment where I didn't know what to expect from Florida State fans when coach Jimbo Fisher would speak. They could boo or cheer for him. However, we found out on ACC Kickoff that Fisher was giving an ovation, with fans chanting his name and doing the war chant.

I would love to see Coach Fisher in Tallahassee more often. It is difficult to ignore the fact that he dominated the Miami Hurricanes during his time at Florida State, where he defeated them seven straight years from 2010 to 2016.

This is awesome to see the Seminole fans put aside the dislike for Coach Fisher to turn the focus over to Miami. What a great weekend to be in Tallahassee!
