Renardo Green is showing why he belongs in the NFL.

Florida State has always been a contender for the title of "DBU", where they are headlined by players such as Deion Sanders, Leroy Butler, Terrell Buckley, Antonio Cromartie, Jalen Ramsey, and Derwin James (there are so many more).

Florida State had a solid position group in 2024 with Azareye'h Thomas, Fentrell Cypress II, Shyheim Brown, Quindarrius Jones, and Edwin Joseph. However, it is worth mentioning that the Seminoles had a great 2023 season where defensive backs Renardo Green, Jarrian Jones, and Akeem Dent navigated to the 2024 NFL Draft.

I always thought that Green was super underrated. I even predicted that he would be a potential long-term NFL contributor. He was drafted in the second round by the San Francisco 49ers. This is a perfect spot for him to succeed.

Honestly, I could not be more proud of what Green accomplished during his time in Tallahassee. He went through two coaching staffs, and he still decided to stick around. In five seasons at Florida State, he recorded 148 tackles (eight for loss), 0.5 sacks, one interception, and 22 pass deflections.

The San Francisco 49ers played the red-hot Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football. Even though the 49ers' season looked disappointing, it was encouraging to see players like Green try to make winning plays on fourth down against a really good team.

Green has always been a defensive back to spectate during his collegiate career. He has been an underrated piece that is lanky and displays good instincts.

Florida State has historically done well with recruiting defensive back prospects in its history. However, defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr. could have more ammunition as to why choosing the Seminoles as a member of the secondary could be beneficial to making it to the NFL.
