The Super Bowl matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles was highly publicized. The game was interesting because many individuals wanted to see quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs lose.
While that was something that kept excitement in the air, there was another form of media that had fans engaged. That was former Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston.
Winston, as we know, is a polarizing athlete even way back in his time in Tallahassee, where he won a Heisman Trophy and a national championship in 2013. There were allegations that some tried to tamper with his name. However, he has been known to turn the other cheek, especially the crab legs issue at Publix.
The talented signal-caller played this past season with the Cleveland Browns. To be brutally honest, the Browns were a horrible team in 2024 and there were times when Winston didn't get an opportunity to shine even after quarterback Deshaun Watson suffered a season-ending injury.
The Florida State product has had an up-and-down NFL career in stints with teams such as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New Orleans Saints, and now the Cleveland Browns. Winston has been known for his hilarious antics in workouts. I think he is a naturally funny person without even trying to be funny.
FOX Sports made a smart investment by having Winston be a correspondent for the Super Bowl week. This generated interest amongst the general population, where he accumulated over 128 million views on the FOX Sports network.

His takes are worth a follow on Twitter (X). The 2025 NFL Scouting Combine is here for college football prospects to make their presence known to NFL scouts.

Thank God I got that game speed though! 💨 pic.twitter.com/u6n06BfsyY
For reference, Winston ran a 4.97 40-yard dash (LOL) at the NFL Scouting Combine. I remember when I went to the 2014 season opener versus Oklahoma State in Dallas, Texas where he had the huge touchdown run where he hurdled offensive lineman Bobby Hart, it felt like it was a slow-motion moment.
Nonetheless, I am glad that he has tremendous passing abilities because he never showed his burner versus opposing defenders. You have to love Winston and his comedy on social media!
