Florida State football plays the arch-rival Miami Hurricanes on the road Saturday at 7 PM EST on ESPN. The Seminoles are coming into the matchup with a 1-6 record. Most individuals who want to flush this from their memory consider this season forgettable.

Head football coach Mike Norvell is in his fifth season at the helm in Tallahassee. The fan base did not expect this, given that the Seminoles have recorded an undefeated regular season and a conference championship in 2023.

Florida State is a proud program, and dare I say that the Seminoles have a top-fifteen brand in college football? They have had their fair share of tremendous players that have come through and worn the garnet and gold.

Florida State has had former players come around the team. Notable names include cornerback Jalen Ramsey. Ramsey is considered one of the best secondary pieces in the NFL who now plays for the Miami Dolphins.

In a recent video on Twitter (X) from Miami Dolphins Beat Writer for the Sun Sentinel, David Furones, he displayed Ramsey picking Florida State to defeat Miami on Saturday night.

This should be a tiny grain of salt since Ramsey is a former Seminole. However, I am glad to see that he is showcasing love for the program. We know as fans that the talented defensive back does not like the Miami Hurricanes (even though he plays with the Dolphins).

Ramsey's best performance in the garnet and gold came on the road against the Hurricanes in 2014, where he took over the game and made sure that Miami felt his presence.

It is good to see former Seminoles still have school pride in Florida State, even with the program struggling this year. Hopefully, Florida State can ensure that Miami does not have an undefeated regular season.
