QB JADEN O'NEAL COMMITTED

Florida State football started the day off by securing the commitment of Class of 2026 unranked interior offensive lineman Luke Francis from Coral Gables Senior High School in Coral Gables, Florida (originally from England).

However, with Francis being an unranked prospect right now, the fan base wouldn't be too thrilled with the take, even though I believe he will be a high three-star prospect in due time.

The good news continued Sunday night as four-star quarterback Jaden O'Neal from Mustang, Oklahoma, finally made his intentions known that he would be committing to Florida State. The coaching staff got its signal-caller in the class.

FLIP TARGETS ON WATCH

With O'Neal pledging to Florida State, this causes an avalanche of good news across the country, with excitement. Quarterbacks are notorious for setting the tone in the class, and it was a shame that the Seminoles did not have one in their class with four-star Brady Smigiel de-committing when Gus Malzahn was hired to be the offensive coordinator.

Overall, I expect O'Neal to be a vocal leader in the recruiting class, and as long as Florida State does not crumble away their season like they did in 2024, the prospects in the fold should be largely intact.

One recruit that I am watching for after the quarterback made his intentions known that he would be a Seminole is four-star wide receiver Devin Carter from Douglasville, Georgia. I mentioned him in my recruits that could commit to Florida State soon (2/5 on the list have pledged to the Seminoles).

On3's Steve Wiltfong put in a flip prediction from Auburn to Florida for Carter on Sunday night after the O'Neal pledge. The pass catcher was previously committed to the Seminoles before flipping to Auburn, and his father (Dexter) was a former running back at Florida State.

I had a feeling that Carter would consider the Seminoles because of his exit meeting with the media members, where he highlighted that Coach Malzahn wanted to use him everywhere in the offense, and he had a good connection with O'Neal.
