It is a busy time in the Florida State world right now. Starting out with football, the Noles were able to bounce back after their loss to Alabama with a win over Central Arkansas. The win certainly wasn't pretty, but the Noles were still able to get back in the win column and move back to .500 on the year.

The Seminole rushing attack remains in great hands with Ousmane Kromah at the head of the backfield, and Quintrevion Wisner was finally able to get some reps with the loss of Samuel Singleton Jr.

The defense still leaves plenty to be desired, but hopefully this win will be enough to ignite a string of wins that will continue with the home matchup against Virginia this weekend.

Volleyball falls to Miami 3-0 moving to 1-1 in conference play

After finding a way to come back and pull off the victory over Miami in the opening ACC match of the season, the Noles dropped their rematch in three sets. This moves the Noles to 6-6 on the season and 1-1 in conference play.

This was certainly a tougher loss for the Seminoles, especially after showing they were capable of beating a team like Miami, but the good news was that no set was decided by more than five points, with Set 1 being 25-27 and Set 3 being 23-25.

Florida State will look to bounce back versus NC State at home again on October 2.

More: Soccer continues streak of ties

On the soccer front, the team has continued its recent string of ties with its third in the month of September after a 0-0 result with Louisville. This was one of those games where it seemed like FSU might be able to pull out a win on more than one occasion, but the result eluded the Seminoles.

Now sitting at 4-1-3 and 0-0-2 in conference play, the Noles are going to need to find a way to start pulling away from some of their competition if they want to maintain their status as one of the powerhouses in the conference.

More: Giants OLB Brian Burns out for the season

Despite all of the hype that is starting to surround the New York Giants, some of the excitement has to take a hit with rampant injuries. Brian Burns, one of the best FSU edge rushers in recent years, is officially out for the season after tearing his ACL.

Burns was looking to capitalize on the best season of his professional career after posting 16.5 sacks and three forced fumbles in 2025. Now, Burns will turn his attention to recovery and coming back just as strong in 2027.
