The Florida State Seminoles finally won an ACC game for the first time in over a year last week when they beat Wake Forest 42-7 at home in front of all the fans who have been questioning Mike Norvell. Some wonder if it was a fluke or if the Seminoles could actually be coming out of this funk against ACC teams.
Today, Florida State will head to Clemson to take on Dabo Swinney and the Tigers, but it looks like they could be without some playmakers. ESPN's Pete Thamel gave an update on who is active and who is out against Clemson today for Florida State.
Defensive lineman James Williams is going to be a game-time decision for the Seminoles, and it could go either way. Williams, this season, has half a sack and 12 total tackles. Wide receiver Jayvon Boggs, who has earned a starting role on the offense, is unlikely to play, but will warm up to see if there is a chance he could get on the field today.
Boggs missed the game against Wake Forest and two before that, so if he can't go today, that would be four on the season. The freshman wide receiver hasn't lit up the stat sheet yet, but some of that is due to injury. Boggs only has five receptions for 47 yards, but he does have a touchdown on the season.
The one name that fans are ecstatic to see not on the injury report this week was quarterback Tommy Castellanos, who has dealt with injuries since the start of ACC play.

Florida State has the chance to build some momentum here at the end of the season
No one fooled college football fans more than Florida State did this season when they opened up the 2025 campaign with a huge win over a ranked Alabama team. Right now, that is still the only loss the Crimson Tide has on its record, and since then, the Seminoles are 4-4 with only one win in the ACC.
The win against Wake Forest seemed to awaken something in the Seminoles, so there is hope that Florida State could build some momentum at the end of the season to not only become bowl eligible but have that momentum going into next year.
Florida State will play Clemson today, another team that has struggled this season after a favorable ranking at the start of the season. The last three teams on their schedule are Virginia Tech, NC State, and Florida, all winnable games.
